Senior Product Specialist at UPM ensuring product integrity and supporting sales efforts for sustainable materials. Collaborating on product development and maintaining accurate product data for operational success.
Responsibilities
Support product managers for product related tasks, including basic product development or product improvement.
Monitor product performance including efficiency, aging stock, quality.
Respond to basic product or portfolio inquiries from internal stakeholders.
Ensure NPD projects are delivered on time, within cost, and meeting quality requirements.
Coordinate product testing and validation with customers.
Other responsibilities when required by the Markets director.
Ensure data integrity and consistency across all relevant systems.
Support product life cycle (PLC) analysis, product codes management.
Support pricing accuracy by managing price locks, resolving quoting errors, and assisting with general price‑related queries.
Monitor and help prevent recurring sales‑related product errors by maintaining clean, accurate product information.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Materials Science, Commerce, or a related field, as well as a postgraduate qualification, are considered advantages.
You have excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, supported by a collaborative mindset and the ability to work cross‑functionally.
You can manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
You demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy, and you are proficient with relevant internal systems and comfortable working with product‑related data.
You bring analytical skills and experience using tools such as Excel and PowerBI.
Experience in product development, product management, or technical marketing, along with familiarity with pressure‑sensitive adhesive materials, label printing, packaging materials, or related industries such as flexible packaging, is considered an advantage.
You are proficient in English and Chinese (spoken and written); Cantonese or other languages are an advantage.
You are willing to travel locally and regionally as required.
