Lead and scale Uphold's lending and borrowing product strategies in the dynamic crypto finance sector. Define commercial strategies while managing growth and compliance across the business unit.
Responsibilities
Own the P&L for the Lending & Borrowing business unit — accountable for both revenue generation and cost efficiency.
Define and execute the commercial strategy for Uphold’s digital asset lending products, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and profitability.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Legal, Risk, Treasury, and Compliance to ensure scalable and compliant business operations.
Build and manage partnerships across the crypto ecosystem — including institutional lenders, exchanges, decentralized protocols, and liquidity providers.
Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
Develop and lead a high-performing team, fostering a results-driven, innovative, and risk-aware culture.
Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on all matters related to digital asset credit markets, DeFi integration, and on/off-ramp liquidity management.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in financial services, crypto, or fintech, including leadership roles in lending, borrowing, or structured products.
Proven success in building or scaling a digital asset lending business — ideally in both retail and institutional markets.
Deep understanding of crypto markets, blockchain-based collateral models, and DeFi protocols.
Strong financial acumen with P&L ownership experience.
Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
Understanding of U.S. lending regulations and digital asset risk frameworks.
Prior experience launching crypto lending or yield products at a leading exchange, lending platform, or fintech.
Experience working in a regulated, fast-paced, and globally distributed organization.
Fluency in using large language models to increase performance in professional settings.
Based in or willing to relocate to New York (preferred).
