About the role
- Counsellor Community Educator providing specialised family violence services to support families and children at UnitingCare. Location in Hervey Bay with outreach to Maryborough, focusing on domestic violence prevention.
Responsibilities
- Providing specialised services that support children, families, individuals and couples who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, family and domestic violence.
- Support families and improve children's wellbeing.
- Increase participation of vulnerable people in community life and enhance family and community functioning.
Requirements
- Possession of a Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or Behavioural Science from a recognised tertiary institution coupled with prior experience.
- Qld Suitability Card for Child Related Employment (Blue Card).
- Current Drivers Licence
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, oral and written communication and advocacy skills
- Willingness to undergo a criminal history check
