About the role
- Design Engineer involved in all phases of water and wastewater project design. Assisting Project Manager and coordinating with departments in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in all phases of project design and project development
- Prepare various components design calculations with oversight
- Prepare various components of quantity calculations with oversight
- Prepare various components of cost estimates with oversight
- Prepare various components of plans with oversight
- Work and coordinate with other internal departments
- Assist in assembling Supplements, Proposals, and Engineer’s Reports
- Meet deadlines
- Alert Department Manager immediately upon realization of a problem on a project
- Prepare Cost Estimates
- Prepare various components of water and wastewater plans, specifications, and studies
- Review Quantities
- Assist with various phases of planning, design, and construction phases of projects
- Maintain the confidentiality of information regarding our clients and company practices
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, or ability to obtain within 12 months
- Engineer Intern in the State of Indiana, or ability to obtain within 12 months
- Entry level position
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Possess strong communication skills
- Possess strong interpersonal skills
- Possess excellent organizational skills
- Able to work within a “team” concept
- Proficient with a computer and Microsoft Excel and Word and working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Must be able to attend evening meetings with clients as needed

- Possess a valid Indiana driver’s license
