Junior Food Engineer working hands-on with product development and process optimization in a team-based environment. Gaining valuable experience in a dynamic food production setting.
Responsibilities
Recipe & Process Development: You develop and optimize formulations, product concepts and manufacturing processes; you take ideas from theory into practice in a structured way.
Project Work & Innovation Support: As part of a project team you support development projects for new and existing products and take responsibility for your own sub-tasks.
Trials, Scale-up & Production Transfer: You accompany trials from lab scale to production implementation, evaluate results and ensure a smooth handover to operations.
Regulatory & Data Readiness: You prepare labeling/declaration proposals and maintain product data and documentation; you work reliably, transparently and in an audit-ready manner.
CapEx & Process Parameters: In strategically important investment projects you contribute the development perspective, support coordination and help define process parameters.
Plant Design & Layout: You contribute to the design and layout of production facilities and consider product, process and feasibility holistically.
Operational Support & Continuous Improvement: You work hands-on in day-to-day activities, gain insight into various work and production processes, identify opportunities for improvement and set priorities together with the team.
Requirements
Education: You hold a university degree in Food Science or a related field; initial practical experience in the food industry, for example through internships or project work, is an advantage.
Technical Curiosity & Innovation Orientation: You are interested in challenging topics related to formulation development, process engineering and production processes; you actively contribute new ideas, test them in trials and develop them to implementation readiness.
Drive & Ownership: You take a pragmatic approach, follow through and take responsibility for your tasks, even when projects are fast-paced or priorities change.
Collaboration: You work independently, learn quickly and feel comfortable in cross-functional teams; you communicate clearly, bring others along and collaborate with R&D, Quality and Production to find practical solutions.
Languages: You communicate confidently in German and English, both verbally and in writing, and can document technical content clearly and coordinate it within the team.
