Responsibilities
- Support Geosyntec’s corporate clients in their compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
- Develop multimedia permit applications, negotiate permit conditions, and help develop strategies to comply with permit conditions.
- Project management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability.
- Support clients with environmental aspects of transactions, reporting, litigation, and other business decisions.
- Recruiting, managing, and mentoring junior staff and mid-career engineers and scientists.
- Reviewing and leading the preparation of technical documents, drawings, specifications, and proposals.
- Preparing for and participating in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties.
- Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, chemical, or environmental preferred), geology, or another closely related sciences field. (required)
- At least 8 years of progressive experience in the consulting industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Proven track record of providing consulting services within the South Carolina market. (required)
- Demonstrated working knowledge of local regulations. (required)
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)
- Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing. (required)
- Valid U.S. driver's license and satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
