IoT Quality Manager responsible for product quality throughout the lifecycle in consumer electronics. Collaborating with development, production, and testing partners to ensure compliance and reliability.
Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for the quality strategy of connected consumer products (hardware, firmware, app, system)
Define, implement and continuously improve quality processes across the entire product lifecycle
Manage and evaluate internal and external test and validation activities (HW, FW, system, integration)
Act as the interface to external test laboratories, certification bodies and authorities
Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., CE, RED, EMC, product safety — depending on the product)
Analyze field data, complaints and returns to drive continuous quality improvement
Perform root cause analyses (RCA) and derive and track corrective actions (CAPA)
Support development and product teams in risk-based decision making
Contribute to supplier quality management and support quality-related audits
Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, Computer Science or a related field
Several years of professional experience in quality management, QA, verification or validation of embedded or IoT products
Strong technical understanding of: embedded hardware & firmware, system and integration testing, connected products (device – app – backend)
Experience with consumer electronics or high-volume products is an advantage
Knowledge of standards, regulations and certifications for electronic products
Structured, pragmatic and solution-oriented working style
Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
Excellent English skills; German is a plus.
