About the role

• Head of Information Security at Thndr, leading security strategy and governance across Egypt, UAE, and KSA. Responsible for managing risk and building trusted security function.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision and direction for Thndr's security risk management
• Define and own Thndr's information security strategy and multi-year roadmap
• Advise executive leadership and represent the security function in governance committees
• Own the information security program at the governance level
• Provide unified leadership across Information Security and Security Engineering teams
• Lead, develop, and retain high-performing teams

Requirements

• 8+ years in information security
• 4–5 years in a senior leadership role (CISO, Head of Security, or equivalent)
• Proven track record leading multi-disciplinary security teams
• Experience in a regulated financial services or fintech environment
• Deep understanding of security landscape across GRC, application security, infrastructure security, IAM, and cloud environments
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST CSF, PCI DSS, and/or SOC 2
