About the role
- Project Manager handling external proposal development for Thermo Fisher Scientific. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to lead Requests for Proposals (RFP’s) and Requests for Information (RFI’s).
Responsibilities
- Manages the external proposal development process
- Works closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Shared Services
- Leads completion of Requests for Proposals (RFP’s) and Requests for Information (RFI’s)
- Provides assistance with presentations
- Provides project management expertise and acts as the focal point for the team
- Conducts the 'first-pass' of each proposal
- Ensures accuracy and quality of responses
- Coaches team members and tracks issue resolutions
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in business or related discipline preferred or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Must have experience with developing and responding to proposals
- Strong experience in project management and business process deployment & implementation
- Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions for complex problems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio, Project Management software
- Seismic proficiency a plus
