• Senior Requirements Engineer at Thales Canada analyzing and managing system requirements for Royal Canadian Navy projects. Collaborating with diverse teams to ensure technical and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of system, subsystem, and interface requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure requirements and related work products are consistent with the needs, desires, and concerns of the end-users.
• Ensure that requirements are unambiguous, feasible, testable, and verifiable.
• Develop and maintain requirements specifications and related artefacts in the approved requirements management tool.
• Ensure bidirectional traceability between requirements and architecture/design, verification, and validation artefacts.
• Perform / Review requirements decomposition / fan-out, including coverage and gap analysis.
• Plan and participate in requirements reviews, walkthroughs, and sign‑off activities with engineering and customer representatives.
• Manage requirements baselines and changes, including impact analysis and configuration control.
• Design and maintain the requirements architecture in IBM DOORS/Polarion ALM.

Requirements

• University or college degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 12 years of professional experience in the design and integration of complex systems in commercial and/or military domains.
• At least 5 years of professional experience with a major focus on requirements.
• Ability to succeed in cross-functional/multidisciplinary teams.
