About the role
- Senior Software Architect designing software architecture for military radio systems at Thales. Leading technical implementations with a focus on embedded real-time software and communication projects.
Responsibilities
- Integrated into the Radio Product Department (DRA)
- Design and oversight of the implementation and IVVQ (Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification) of radio products
- Development of the new Manpack radio
- Definition and implementation of the software architecture
- Creation and maintenance of architectural diagrams, design documents and product/system specifications
- Monitoring developments and ensuring compliance with defined performance targets
Requirements
- Engineering degree (Master's level) or equivalent
- At least 10 years of experience defining embedded real-time software architectures on IP communications projects
- Proven ability to design and implement real-time software architectures on target platforms
- Experience in radiocommunications such as 4G/5G and/or familiarity with the OSI model
- Strong command of the full software engineering lifecycle and of radio hardware and software architectures
