Responsibilities
Lead the Product Team: Manage and coach a small team of Product Owners, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high performance.
Product Process Governance: Establish and enforce standard product management processes across all teams.
Champion process improvements that enhance efficiency and quality of product delivery.
Drive and coordinate strategic projects that span multiple product areas (e.g., major feature rollouts or platform upgrades).
Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance requirements within the product organization.
Translate the Chief Product Officer’s strategic vision into actionable plans for the product teams.
Facilitate strong communication channels between Product and other departments (Engineering, Operations, Sales, etc.).
Requirements
Several years of experience in Product Management or a similar role (ideally 5+ years), ideally including 2+ years in a product leadership role (e.g., leading product owners or product managers).
A background in finance, fintech, or other regulated digital industries is highly preferred.
You understand the constraints and opportunities of building products in a regulated environment – familiarity with BaFin regulations or EU financial compliance (e.g., DORA, MiCAR) is a strong advantage.
Deep knowledge of agile product development and product management frameworks.
Demonstrated leadership skills in coaching teams and driving change.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, enabling you to effectively interface with engineers, designers, executives, and clients. You’re adept at translating between technical and non-technical audiences and aligning everyone around common goals.
Strong analytical mindset; you use data and evidence to drive decisions and can monitor KPIs to gauge product success.
Familiarity with software architecture at a high level (APIs, cloud services, etc.) is necessary.
