About the role
- Director of Finance overseeing finance and accounting operations for SYGMA while collaborating with corporate leadership. Driving growth and profitability through strategic financial planning and management.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing all Finance and Accounting operations for a SYGMA subsidiary while partnering closely with the SYGMA CFO and leadership team.
- Leading financial planning, analysis, and performance management, working collaboratively with regional teams and Sysco’s corporate headquarters.
- Driving growth, strengthening profitability, and ensuring alignment with Sysco’s strategic initiatives at the local level.
- Managing corporate expense management, working with department leaders to ensure cost control and alignment with strategic priorities.
- Conduct monthly business reviews; analyze results of operations / explain key drivers of variances to plan and forecasted results.
- Partnering with the CFO to develop and deliver annual and periodic goals, including creating the annual profit plan and monthly financial forecasts, along with actionable plans to achieve targets.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in Foodservice, CPG, or Manufacturing is beneficial.
- Freight network optimization.
- Experience in inbound freight and backhaul are strongly preferred.
- Backhaul strategy development experience.
