About the role
- Treasury Officer managing capital and liquidity generation for Swiss Re across the Americas. Analyzing reinsurance products and supporting strategic financial initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the region's capital and liquidity generation, and work with the central Capital Management team
- Support the implementation and structuring of the regional intra-group retrocession program
- Monitor the capital levels of the region's entities and branches, ensuring entities are well capitalized
- Lead and/or support in strategic initiatives and projects relevant to treasury activities
- Engage with Asset Management, the central Treasury team, and local Finance to assess capital implications
- Support the preparation and presentation of materials to key stakeholders
Requirements
- 6+ years of working experience in the financial service industry
- Appropriate academic or professional qualification, demonstrating strong quantitative ability
- Understanding of: Reinsurance, accounting principles, and US and/or Canada regulatory solvency regimes
- Corporate finance and capital management, including strong desire to learn more
- Structure, value drivers, and risks inherent in reinsurance products.
- Understanding of debt instruments, and capital market structures is a plus
