About the role
- Quality Analyst responsible for supporting mobile game development and ensuring high-quality releases at Sumo India's Pune studio. Collaborating with teams to enhance player experience.
Responsibilities
- Support mobile game titles through development, release, and live phases, under the guidance of senior and lead QAs
- Contribute to development QA activities from early design through release, including functional, compatibility, and platform testing
- Monitoring project check-ins and collaborating with the development team to identify and track issues
- Performing daily smoke testing across supported devices and OS versions
- Creating, executing, and maintaining outcome-driven test cases and test scenarios
- Providing input and feedback to improve test coverage and testing approaches
- Highlighting quality risks and providing feedback to improve overall game quality and player experience
- Collaborate and communicate daily and weekly with project teams, including cross-location stakeholders
- Use and understand mobile testing tools, build distribution systems, and debugging utilities required for mobile testing
- Follow established QA processes while contributing constructively to delivery and quality goals.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on QA experience, preferably in mobile game testing.
- Experience contributing to at least one full mobile project lifecycle (development to release or live).
- Strong understanding of mobile QA fundamentals, including device fragmentation and OS-level testing.
- Exposure to mobile submission and store requirements (App Store / Google Play) is a plus.
- Strong QA fundamentals with attention to detail.
- Experience testing on a wide range of mobile devices and OS versions.
- Familiarity with build distribution tools and mobile debugging tools.
- Experience with defect tracking and test documentation.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and logical reasoning.
- Proactive, dependable, and comfortable working under delivery timelines.
- Team-oriented, open to feedback, and willing to learn.
