About the role
- Adjunct Faculty teaching undergraduate/graduate Legal classes in a hybrid format. This role involves in-person and online teaching with a focus on student engagement and academic excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provides quality education and maintains high standards of academic excellence in teaching assigned courses in the discipline
- Teach assigned courses in person and asynchronously online
- Maintain office hours as assigned
- Utilize the online learning platform to enrich the student learning experience for the online component of the course
- Be available to students via email, phone, text, and office hours to ensure quality feedback
- Establish high standards and ensure students understand how they will be evaluated
- Attend faculty meetings and workshops or training as required
Requirements
- Master’s level degree in the discipline in discipline specialty from a regionally accredited institution
- Juris Doctorate or Master of Laws required
- 5 years of legal experience with some experience in Business Law required
- Teaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience are strongly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) software and overall computer skills
- Proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing of course objectives
- Must have strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Effective time management skills
- Must be able to travel weekly to required location(s)
