About the role

• Intermediate Water Resources Engineer focusing on mining in a multidisciplinary team environment. Lead studies, assessments, and investigations with a commitment to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage watershed characterization studies, flood plain mapping, environmental impact assessments, coastal and river engineering, and channel design projects
• Conduct hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality modeling
• Lead field investigations including water quality sampling, hydrometric measurements, data management and analysis
• Review of detailed design drawings
• Development of work plans and cost estimates;
• Technical report preparation and writing
• Working efficiently in a team environment
• Perform tasks, as requested, efficiently and accurately, using standard methods and techniques

Requirements

• Graduate degree from an Engineering or Science program, with an emphasis on water resources and hydrology
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in consulting or regulatory environment, regularly using and analyzing water quality and quantity data
• Professional registration with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) or Professional Geoscientists Ontario (PGO)
• Valid G-class driver’s license required
