Home Infusion Pharmacy Manager leading the home infusion program and ensuring regulatory compliance. Collaborating with care providers to deliver safe and effective treatments in the ambulatory setting.
Responsibilities
Manage the efficient and effective operations of pharmacy services.
Supervise and manage associated personnel staff.
Interprets and enforces established policies and procedures.
Creates new policies and procedures.
Designs and implements performance improvement initiatives that enhance safety, environmental, and infection control.
Provides oversight to pharmacy personnel.
Collaborates with the leadership team to improve services provided and assures compliance with regulatory requirements.
Design, implement, and monitor pharmacy practices to optimize medication management outcomes for patients.
Supervises and manages the technical support staff and staff clinical pharmacists.
Partners across the organization to develop and implement solutions designed to improve member/client satisfaction; streamline processes between organizations for improved service delivery.
Collaborates with physicians and other health care professionals to address issues related to patient drug therapy through the process of mutual information sharing, discussion, and decision making.
Oversees training programs for pharmacy staff, residents, and students.
Requirements
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college or university required
Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience in Pharmacy required or PGY1 and 3 years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience in Pharmacy required or PGY1 and PGY2 (General) with 1 year of progressively responsible and directly related work experience in Pharmacy required or PGY1 and PGY2 HSPAL Residency (Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership) completion required
Knowledge of California State Board of Pharmacy Laws and Regulations
Knowledge of Title 22 regulations
Knowledge of eMS regulations, both state and federal.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Skill in the use of establishing policies and in writing procedures and communication to coworkers.
Ability to interpret new laws, guidelines as applied to the practice of Pharmacy.
Ability to interpret regulations and guidelines as applicable to the practice of Pharmacy.
Licensed as a Pharmacist by the California Board of Pharmacy required within 120 Days
