Responsibilities
Support in coordinating volunteer groups and projects, as well as onboarding new volunteers
Support in establishing new volunteer groups
Participate in organising events, activities and campaigns
Respond to enquiries about participation opportunities at SOS MEDITERRANEE
Conceptualise and create social media content and online posts about the volunteer programme’s activities in collaboration with the communications team
Support the expansion of the organisation’s network and respond to stakeholder enquiries
Assist with general administrative tasks and provide additional support for special events or during periods of increased workload
Requirements
Currently enrolled student, preferably in social sciences, humanities or communication studies
Interest in humanitarian issues and migration policy, and identification with the mission and values of SOS MEDITERRANEE
Some experience in organising events and/or working with volunteers (through personal volunteering or e.g. an internship)
Excellent German and English language skills and communication abilities, both written and verbal
Affinity for social media
Willingness to attend evening (and occasionally weekend) appointments in coordination with colleagues, e.g. for volunteer meetings and events
Willingness to travel occasionally
