About the role
- Accountant responsible for creating financial statements and ensuring internal compliance in Switzerland. Collaborating with departments on financial matters and improving accounting processes.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with Swiss accounting standards, and documentation of compliance with internal policies
- Coding and posting of business transactions in the financial accounting system
- Performing financial analyses and preparing budgets and forecasts
- Monitoring liquidity and handling payment transactions
- Supporting annual audits and regulatory reviews
- Contributing to continuous improvement of processes and procedures within the accounting function
- Advising business units on financial matters
Requirements
- Completed commercial/business education, complemented by further training in accounting/finance
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting or a comparable position
- Solid knowledge of relevant accounting standards and accounting software
- Confident user skills in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Independent, structured and analytical approach to work
- Good communication skills in German; English skills are an advantage
