About the role
- Product Owner leading front-office Quantitative Research in investment management focused on Fixed Income and High Income Analytics. Partnering with Product Area leaders and senior Quant Researchers to drive strategic execution across teams.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of Quantitative Research initiatives in the areas of Portfolio Construction, Portfolio Engineering, Investment Risk, and Analytics
- Develop and track project plans, timelines, and landmarks to ensure strategic alignment and timely delivery
- Lead and prioritize backlogs for large teams, ensuring efficient workflow and project alignment with business objectives
- Facilitate regular backlog refinement sessions, ensuring clarity and prioritization of tasks
- Champion Agile methodologies and adopt tools to enhance team productivity and collaboration including sprint planning, stand-ups, and sprint reviews
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external partners, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables
- Present project updates to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring all parties are informed of progress and any potential issues
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in program management, specifically grooming backlogs for large teams with multiple projects and milestones
- Extensive background in Investment Management, with a strong understanding of multi-asset class investment processes in the front office
- Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and managing complex, multi-year projects allied to deep familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in implementing Agile practices within large teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with team members and stakeholders
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) / Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or equivalent experience in a related field
