Responsibilities
- Interacts with clients on a frequent basis (i.e. daily, weekly or monthly), as needed under the scope of each engagement
- Responds timely to client inquiries
- Keeps the Supervising Senior, Manager, Director and/or Partner informed of any developments or issues on client accounts
- Timely performs assigned recurring accounting duties in accordance with engagement scope. These can include but are not limited to: (a) posting accounts payable or accounts receivable transactions, (b) paying vendor and expenses due, and (c) depositing checks and ensuring all bank transactions are properly recorded
Requirements
- Proven and thorough understanding of double entry accounting
- At least two years' experience in an accounting function
- Demonstrated performance of accounting tasks (both processing of transactions and maintenance of accounting records)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate (i.e., read, write, speak) with business level fluency in English
- Self starter with proven ability to identify issues wherever possible
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required
- This is a part-time position and will require up to 24 hours/week
