About the role
- GIS Developer designing and building automated GIS solutions for telecommunications projects. Collaborating with teams to improve data quality, efficiency, and delivery outcomes nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated GIS tools and workflows to support network design and construction.
- Work with spatial datasets, construction drawings, and QA processes across multiple programs.
- Use Python, SQL, FME, and GIS platforms to streamline data transformation and validation.
- Collaborate with a highly skilled team to design solutions and continuously improve GIS capability.
Requirements
- Around 5+ years’ experience as a GIS Developer in a professional environment.
- Strong capability with QGIS and ESRI ArcGIS products.
- Solid Python development skills, including GIS‑based libraries.
- Experience working with spatial databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server, ESRI Geodatabases).
- Confidence using FME for automation and data processing.
- Nice to have (but not essential): Experience in telecommunications or utility infrastructure.
- Exposure to AWS (S3, Lambda, Redshift).
- Interest or experience in AI/ML applications for spatial data.
- Formal qualification in GIS, IT, or a related discipline.
