About the role
- Principal Integration Engineer responsible for Azure Integration Services at Scottish Water. Developing architecture strategies and providing technical leadership in integration processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and architectural direction for Azure Integration Services
- Develop and maintain integration standards, reference architectures, and reusable patterns
- Act as the design authority for complex, high-risk, or business-critical integrations
- Guide complex delivery activity and drive continuous improvement
- Define and evolve the enterprise integration architecture and engineering strategy
- Monitor and report on the health and reliability of the integration platform
- Provide expert delivery support across programmes and product teams
- Collaborate closely with Cyber Security to ensure all integrations meet compliance and security obligations
Requirements
- Extensive experience in Azure Integration Services
- Proven background in designing and delivering enterprise integration architectures across Azure services
- Strong understanding of secure and resilient integration engineering practices
- Experience acting as a technical authority on complex integrations
- Influence and guide delivery teams across organisational boundaries
- Communicate technical information effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience within regulated environments, critical national infrastructure, or the public sector is highly advantageous.
- Relevant professional certifications such as Azure Integration Services Developer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert are advantageous
