About the role
- Revenue Cycle Systems Manager overseeing operational health of RCS billing systems for a healthcare leader. Managing teams, incidents, and ensuring compliance in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Own daily operational health and availability of RCS billing & coding systems
- Serve as primary escalation point for system incidents, performance degradation, and recurring operational issues
- Manage, coach, and develop RCS Systems Analysts and assigned resources
- Enforce change management standards, approvals, and documentation for Tier 2 and Tier 3 system changes
- Act as an operational liaison with AthenaIDX, Athena EDI, Athena hosting partners, KAV Consulting and internal IT teams
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Revenue Cycle or Healthcare Systems operations
- 3+ years of leadership, operational management, or project management experience
- 2+ years of healthcare application support (athenaIDX) or comparable healthcare billing system experience
- Experience with ServiceNow or comparable ITSM platforms (preferred)
- Strong operational decision-making and incident management skills
- Deep understanding of medical billing, coding, reimbursement logic, and compliance impacts
