Director of Projects and Transformation responsible for driving project portfolio and transformation efforts for a prestigious company in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Responsibilities
You are responsible for the entire project portfolio and drive our transformation in close coordination with executive management.
Portfolio management: Strategic assessment, prioritization, capacity planning and control (status, risks, dependencies) of the company-wide project portfolio.
PMO & Leadership: Establish and lead a central PMO according to modern standards, methodologies, governance structures and tooling — including managing the project managers.
Management consulting: Direct reporting (monitoring and escalation reports) and solid decision support for the CEO and C-level management.
Transformation: Ensure the business case viability and the achievement of objectives for critical projects.
Requirements
University degree in Business Administration, (Business) Informatics/Computer Science, or a comparable field
Several years of professional experience in project, PMO or portfolio management, ideally in IT-related or digitally driven transformation environments
Solid knowledge of common methods and tools (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, MS Project, ServiceNow)
Strong strategic thinking, excellent communication and assertiveness, confident stakeholder management, and high motivation to build and further develop a PMO.
