About the role

  • Seeking a Senior Event Manager/Event Manager to orchestrate premium events in the automotive sector. Join a global media company based in Munich focusing on high-end hospitality and culture.

Responsibilities

  • You contribute your event expertise from concept and planning through budgeting to execution, maintaining close contact with clients and vendors.
  • As an Event Manager, you work in a team with other event managers, editors and graphic designers.
  • The focus is on events and incentives in the premium segment of the automotive industry, with a strong emphasis on hospitality, culinary experiences and culture.
  • Research, idea generation and concept development
  • Organization and management of events, including VIP incentives
  • Point of contact for internal and external event partners
  • Responsibility for the factual accuracy of communications materials
  • Ensuring comprehensive event documentation, including participant management and maintenance
  • Preparation of presentations, briefings and cost calculations for internal and external stakeholders (PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Creation of participant lists and transmission to the respective partners
  • Budget creation, contract review and event accounting
  • On-site event support (primarily on weekends, in Germany and elsewhere in Europe)

Requirements

  • Three to five years of professional experience in event management or in the area of exclusive incentives
  • Organizing events for VIP audiences is not new to you
  • A sense for event trends and insight into the competitive landscape
  • Interest in, and ideally prior knowledge of, travel, culinary experiences, hotels, brand partnerships, etc.
  • Excellent multitasking ability and experience handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • You are a dynamic, detail-oriented person who works efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • You enjoy interacting with VIP guests on site and have an open, positive attitude
  • Clear verbal, written and presentation-related communication skills regarding project planning and status, obstacles, and, where necessary, alternative approaches
  • You are articulate in speech and writing and possess excellent German and very good English skills
  • Experience with guest management systems (ideally Salesforce), and planning and project tools (Jira) is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel and to work on-site at events approximately twice a month on weekends
