About the role

  • Marketing & Event Manager executing Scoop Truck events throughout Ontario. Overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Run the day-to-day Management of the Scoop Truck; including permitting as needed, leadership of Health Inspections as needed, Ice Cream orders and inventory management, leadership onsite during the events, create staffing schedules and oversee team of scoopers/brand ambassadors
  • Drive the Scoop Truck to and from events, following all safe road policies and procedures
  • Provide on-site leadership to ensure adherence to all Quality, Food Safety and Health & Safety policies and procedures to ensure customers and employees are safe
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing to research and secure brand appropriate events throughout Ontario, completing all necessary paperwork
  • Represent the Kawartha Dairy Brand and lead by example to drive the vision and values with all employees
  • Deliver world class customer service and coach team to ensure the best customer experience
  • Resolve customer concerns, taking prompt and appropriate action to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained
  • Hire, schedule and train all staff
  • Complete required documentation in administration of payroll
  • Follow and monitor procedures and policies to maintain effective cash management
  • Ensure cash deposits to bank on a daily basis
  • Take photos during events to be shared with Marketing for social media
  • Collaborate with Marketing to advertise the Scoop Truck’s upcoming presence at and during events
  • Collaborate with Marketing to create signage for events as needed
  • Continuously monitor progress against sales goals, hold the team accountable and adjust accordingly to deliver against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Control costs to achieve profitability

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in business, Hospitality, Event Planning or Marketing or 5+ years in retail management or event planning
  • Able to travel throughout Ontario
  • Food handlers certificate an asset
  • A valid G license with clean drivers abstract and comfortable driving a food truck
  • Available to work flexible shifts outside of regular hours (weekends, and statutory holidays) to accommodate for events
