About the role
- Integration Engineer specializing in SAP ABAP development at Rockwell Automation. Focused on designing, developing, and maintaining SAP technical components for data integration.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom ABAP programs, reports, enhancements, and interfaces to support data exchange between SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Build and maintain technical components such as IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Web Services.
- Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Support integration efforts using middleware platforms (e.g., SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI, MuleSoft, etc.).
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and documentation of developed solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data interfaces and performance.
- Provide production support and continuous improvement for existing integrations.
- Eager to learn API development using Mulesoft.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Strong knowledge of core ABAP concepts including Reports, Module Pool Programming, Enhancements, and Forms.
- Experience with data integration techniques using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Web Services.
- Familiarity with SAP middleware tools (PI/PO, CPI) or other integration platforms.
- Understanding of SAP modules such as FI, MM, SD, or others.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
