About the role

Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one consultations with patients to explain financial policies, payment expectations, and insurance coverage.
- Verify and document patient insurance benefits, update patient accounts accordingly.
- Generate and provide cost estimates using the REI estimator tool for upcoming services.
- Collect estimated liabilities from patients and apply payments to accounts.
- Make informed decisions regarding patient accounts to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist patients in resolving balance inquiries and financial concerns.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial counseling, patient access, or medical billing in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with fertility services and insurance authorization processes is a plus.
- Proficiency in EHR systems and billing software.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Customer Focus: Prioritizes patient needs and resolves issues effectively.
- Coaching & Training: Supports staff development and onboarding.
