About the role
- Manager of External Communications supporting REMAX Canada network by leading PR efforts and collaborating with leadership. Ensuring message consistency and writing executive communications.
Responsibilities
- Support external and editorial functions of communications for the REMAX Canada network.
- Serve as lead on all REMAX Canada public relations efforts, including national, regional and trade coverage.
- Collaborate closely with REMAX Canada leadership and Director of External Communications.
- Serve as an advisor to the President of REMAX Canada while anticipating PR needs.
- Ensure alignment of Company messaging and manage project schedules through the creation and implementation of communications plans.
- Write, script and prepare executive communications for a variety of media and on-stage and written opportunities.
- Serve as primary liaison with media agency to ensure cohesive strategy, workflows and messaging.
Requirements
- Degree in public relations, journalism, communications, or related field or equivalent
- Must submit 2-3 writing samples
- 5+ years in public relations, government affairs or related field
- Experience working in the real estate industry is a plus
- Superior written and verbal communication skills and strong knowledge of current media landscape
- Proven track record of working effectively in fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work outside of normal business hours as needed
- Availability to work in-person at least two days a week and additional days as needed
