Responsibilities
Participate from the earliest stages of the software development lifecycle, helping shape standards, requirements, and designs to enhance testability and accessibility.
Advocate for quality and inclusivity in partnership with engineering and business stakeholders, setting clear priorities and metrics that benefit customers and colleagues.
Develop automated and manual tests alongside new features, focusing on value, reusability, and ease of maintenance.
Work closely with the Lead QA and team members to utilize and enhance our existing test frameworks within a continuous integration and delivery environment.
Select and implement the most effective types of tests—such as API, integration, database, user interface, or manual testing—based on the needs of the team and product.
Share your knowledge and results with the broader team, supporting a culture of learning through mentoring and collaborative problem-solving.
Research and help introduce tools that improve our testing capabilities and product quality in a cost-effective and accessible manner.
Collaborate on the development of test plans and cases, ensuring they are well-documented and accessible to all team members.
Requirements
Experience in a Quality Assurance, Testing, or Test Automation role, with proficiency in Java.
Ability to automate and perform API testing (using tools such as Postman or Rest Assured library in Java).
Comfortable writing SQL queries for testing purposes.
Experience with Selenium and familiarity with tools like Playwright, Cucumber, or Serenity is helpful.
Ability to design and execute automated tests and experience with CI pipelines (such as Jenkins) is valued.
A collaborative approach, with a willingness to learn, share knowledge, and contribute creative solutions to challenges.
Understanding of the software development process and quality assurance methodologies.
Familiarity with finance compliance domains in the US, UK, or Australia is preferred, but not required.
