Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of software components, microservices, and REST API endpoints to address business requirements and technical challenges.

- Regularly demo new features, products, and architectural improvements to the larger organization.
- Resolve complex system issues impacting software performance and scalability.
- Lead code reviews and design discussions to ensure quality standards and best practices are met.
- Implement automated tests and CI/CD pipelines to validate software integrity, upgradeability and performance.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to improve team capabilities.
- Adhere and follow defined Software Development Lifecycle (SLDC) processes.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders and global agile teams to understand and break down requirements into actionable units of work.
- Proactively leverage AI technologies to streamline workflows, simplify processes, and enhance overall efficiency.
Requirements
- Strong software development experience using Python or Golang with Django Framework experience.
- Extensive experience with container management platforms like Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker/Docker Compose.
- Advanced knowledge of software development life cycle tools (GitHub, Jenkins) and experience working within Agile or Scrum processes.
- Proven ability to work with minimal instruction while making sound decisions to resolve technical issues.
- Considered a plus: Writing Ansible playbooks and administering the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
- Familiarity with observability platforms such as Dynatrace or DataDog.
- Cloud-native development/administration experience and working on large-scale open-source projects.
- Prior experience working on a globally distributed team.
