About the role
- Manage data platform team in São Paulo, ensuring timely project delivery and quality. Oversee implementation of DataOps and MLOps with focus on AWS and team collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Manage the data platform team, ensuring projects are delivered on time and with high quality.
- Implement DataOps and MLOps pipelines
- Lead AWS cloud cost optimization projects
- Build accelerators/engines for the data engineering and AI teams
- Serve as the technical architecture reference and be responsible for building and maintaining the data reference architecture
- Responsible for administration of the AWS Data Platform, SAS Guide
- Define and implement processes and methodologies for managing data platform projects
- Manage databases, ensuring data integrity and platform performance
- Prepare reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI
- Lead the data platform team, promoting communication and teamwork
- Make strategic decisions for the data platform area aimed at company growth and innovation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
- Postgraduate degree in a related field
- Previous experience managing/implementing data platforms is essential
- Strong technical knowledge of data platforms, with emphasis on AWS; this position will require hands-on technical involvement in day-to-day activities
- Solid knowledge of AWS cloud tools/services
- Experience leading teams and people management
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
- Decision-making ability and problem-solving skills
