About the role
- Structural Engineer in Structural Services division overseeing cold-formed steel designs across various sectors and contributing to impactful projects nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Organize and manage structural design efforts for multiple simultaneous projects
- Design and layout structural engineering drawings for assigned projects/work assignments including the preparation of plans, schedules and details
- Design structural systems of primarily cold-formed steel framing and structural steel for a variety of healthcare, commercial, retail, multi-family residential, industrial and institutional buildings nationwide
- Prepare Structural calculations and design drawings for submittal
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from a U.S. accredited college or university and zero (0) to three (3) or more years of experience in the structural design of cold-formed steel building projects.
- Thorough knowledge of structural engineering principles
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products; and working knowledge of AutoDesk Revit and AutoCAD programs
- Working knowledge of various structural analysis and design programs
- Attentive to detail and accuracy
- Effectively prepares written correspondence in a professional manner and communicates with team members
- Applicable U.S. based job experience.
