Responsibilities
Drive infrastructure automation for a global bank by shaping scalable IaC platforms used by 45–50 engineers and supporting standardized services for thousands of changes annually
Design and evolve the architectural direction of Infrastructure as Code by applying software‑engineering principles to infrastructure automation
Translate strategic goals into pragmatic architectures that enable scalable, auditable, and fully automated infrastructure services
Work closely with engineers, architects, and product stakeholders to break down complexity and deliver solutions that balance long‑term vision with incremental progress
Design layered abstraction models that reduce vendor lock‑in while supporting multiple infrastructure platforms
Guide squads in adopting software‑engineering standards such as testing, pipelines, and API‑first design for infrastructure automation
Introduce Generative AI use cases to improve automated change flows and developer productivity
Requirements
Academic working and thinking level with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field
Strong foundation in software engineering (e.g., Java, .NET, design patterns, testing, pipelines, API design)
Experience with CI/CD, automation frameworks, and SDLC principles
Affinity with IaC tooling (Terraform, Ansible) and infrastructure components
Affinity with (IaaS/PaaS) cloud way of working to show that we really intend to become more “cloud like” with our on premises services
Experience designing scalable automation frameworks, patterns, or platform capabilities in complex environments
Understanding of security, compliance, auditability, and automated control implementation
Experience with (or strong interest in) Agentic/Generative AI capabilities and applying them in engineering contexts
Ability to collaborate effectively in complex, multidisciplinary environments
