About the role
- Senior GenAI Solution Engineer driving AI solutions lifecycle in a consulting firm. Building backend services and automating workflows in an international and agile environment.
Responsibilities
- End-to-End Development: drive AI solutions across the full lifecycle - from rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept to deployment in scalable, highly available production environments
- AI Services Engineering: build robust backend services in Python that integrate state-of-the-art LLMs and perform reliably under production load
- Autonomous Agent Architecture: design and implement intelligent agent systems that automate real-world workflows through tool calling and memory management
- Agentic SDLC: integrate AI agents into the development lifecycle - from AI-assisted coding and code reviews to automated testing and intelligent documentation
- Ensuring Software Excellence: take ownership of code quality by applying clean architecture principles, implementing automated testing, and establishing efficient CI/CD pipelines
- Evaluation & Monitoring: implement frameworks to measure the performance of GenAI solutions (e.g., accuracy, latency, cost) and ensure continuous optimization
- Consulting: work directly with clients - facilitating workshops and acting as a sparring partner for business and management stakeholders
- Technology Sparring: assess technical feasibility and advise stakeholders on how to turn innovative ideas into sustainable, production-ready products
Requirements
- Excellent Python Skills (Production-Ready): strong expertise in API development (e.g., FastAPI, Pydantic), containerization (Docker), testing (unit and integration), Git and CI/CD
- Rapid Prototyping: Ability to quickly build and visualize demos and proof-of-concepts
- Strong Architectural Understanding: apply SOLID principles, Clean Architecture, dependency injection, async/concurrency patterns, leverage ORMs (e.g., SQLAlchemy)
- Hands-on Experience with Multimodal LLM APIs: proficient with leading models (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock)
- Advanced GenAI Engineering: strong command of prompt engineering, structured outputs (JSON), and tool/function calling
- RAG Expertise (End-to-End): experience in building full pipelines - from embeddings and vector databases (e.g., pgvector) to advanced retrieval, re-ranking, and evaluation
- Agent Development: experience in designing and orchestrating autonomous systems (e.g., with Pydantic AI)
- Consulting Skills: experience working directly with clients, facilitating workshops, presenting results, navigating complex stakeholder environments
- Languages: fluent in German, with professional proficiency in English
- Education: completed degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a comparable field (Bachelor’s degree or higher)
- Willingness to travel: willing to work on-site at the client’s premises on a regular basis
