About the role
- Senior Trade Compliance Analyst ensuring compliance with international regulations at Alpargatas. Monitoring and managing customs procedures and trade compliance policies.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with foreign trade regulations, including customs legislation, export controls and regulations from government agencies (Receita Federal - Brazilian Federal Revenue Service, MAPA - Ministry of Agriculture, ANVISA - National Health Surveillance Agency, SECEX - Foreign Trade Secretariat, among others).
- Perform fiscal classification of goods (NCM/HS) and review documentation required for import and export processes.
- Monitor customs clearance processes, identifying potential inconsistencies or risks.
- Develop and implement internal policies and procedures for the area.
- Conduct risk analyses related to suppliers, customers, logistics intermediaries and products.
- Manage restrictive and international sanctions lists (OFAC, UN, EU, etc.), ensuring appropriate due diligence.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and compliance reports.
- Monitor changes in legislation and communicate impacts to the relevant areas.
- Train internal teams on best practices and compliance rules in international trade.
- Collaborate with logistics, tax, legal and procurement teams to resolve queries and ensure smooth operations.
- Manage the Company’s Drawback program.
- Manage requests related to the OSGT system in coordination with relevant departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Foreign Trade, International Relations, Law or related fields.
- Experience with international logistics operations and customs procedures is a plus.
- Knowledge of Brazilian and international foreign trade legislation.
- Fiscal classification of goods (NCM/HS).
- Experience with SAP and OSGT systems.
- Intermediate to advanced English.
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
