Responsibilities
Responsible for connecting our production equipment and test benches to our IoT infrastructure.
Continuously develop the connectivity concept for machine networking.
Provide support for fault diagnosis and troubleshooting, as well as address performance bottlenecks in machine data communication and the OT network.
Support security audits, identify potential vulnerabilities, and implement measures to ensure OT security.
Work closely with IT, production, and external service providers, acting as an interface between engineering and IT.
Support Production Engineering in specifying new production systems and assist during the acceptance and commissioning process.
Requirements
Completed technical training or degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, mechatronics, IT systems electronics, or a comparable qualification
Professional experience in an industrial environment — ideally in machine connectivity, automation, or network communication
Strong knowledge of common OT communication protocols and fieldbus systems (e.g., OPC UA, PROFINET, MQTT, Modbus)
Familiarity with relevant OT security standards and regulations, such as ISO 27001, IEC 62443, or NIS2
Experience connecting PLCs/control systems, for example PCS7, S7, or Allen‑Bradley
Good German and basic English skills
