About the role
- IT System Integration Engineer configuring and installing IT hardware and software components. Working on lab environments, CI/CD pipelines, and customer interactions for innovative projects.
Responsibilities
- Design, configuration, and installation of (IT) hardware and software components
- Build and maintenance of lab and test environments (Windows + Linux), including servers, clients, IP networks, and VMs (virtual machines)
- Development of concepts for automated and manual configuration and installation of systems
- Maintenance and further development of existing systems, including adjustments and troubleshooting of hardware and software configurations
- Setup and upkeep of toolchains/pipelines for CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment)
- Automation of build and release processes along the CI/CD pipeline through scripting and programming
Requirements
- Successfully completed technical degree, e.g., in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- Professional experience required, especially in software development
- Deep knowledge of software and server hardware
- Administrative skills in Windows and Linux systems (especially network configuration and firewalls)
- Experience in software and build-pipeline development (e.g., C++, Python, Jenkins, Bamboo)
- Command-line tools (e.g., Bash, PowerShell)
- Virtualization and container technologies (VMware, Docker, Proxmox, Podman)
- Independent, efficient working style
- Creative approach to problem-solving
- Willingness to interact with customers, e.g., during system installations
- Very good German and English language skills
