About the role
- Mortgage Loan Investment Accountant supporting accounting and reporting functions for Protective's mortgage loan investment portfolio. Ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant reporting across U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Responsibilities
- support accounting and reporting functions for Protective’s mortgage loan investment portfolio
- maintain data integrity within Protective’s mortgage loan accounting systems
- execute month‑end close activities
- support routine and evolving reporting requirements
- partner closely with Investment Accounting teams and internal business partners
- research issues, resolve discrepancies, and deliver high‑quality financial information
- contribute to system enhancements and process improvements
- participate in special projects, including testing related to system upgrades
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting required.
- 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working with financial systems and structured accounting processes.
