About the role

  • Affiliate & Partnerships Manager responsible for scaling user base through high-value partnerships. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize affiliate marketing efforts within Preply's educational platform.

Responsibilities

  • Lead generation - Identify and generate a list of prospective high-quality affiliates, publishers, agencies, and strategic partners in the education and online learning space, to expand our affiliate & partnership network; while looking for automation opportunities.
  • Partner acquisition - Recruit, onboard and manage new high quality affiliates & partners - from initial outreach and negotiations to performance management and optimization
  • Inbound and self sign up - Scale our inbound and self-sign up acquisition, driving operational excellence and automation across application review, onboarding workflows, and partner activation initiatives.
  • Onboarding material - Produce and distribute onboarding materials, presentations, and other content aimed at finalizing new partners’ acquisition and GMV growth, while ensuring compliance and brand alignment across all partnerships, maintaining Preply’s reputation as a trusted learning platform.
  • Performance optimization - Test, optimize and define commission models, promotional incentives, and partner engagement strategies to maximize ROI and GMV.
  • Stakeholders management and communication - Prepare and present updates to upper management/C-suite and peers to align on strategic objectives, maintaining a robust reporting framework, to track and analyze affiliate performance, leveraging data-driven insights to improve conversion rates and partner acquisition.
  • Cross functional collaboration - Collaborate with other internal teams (Performance, Brand, Creative, Data, Legal, Finance, Product and other teams) to achieve customer experience and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven experience in affiliate marketing and partners acquisition, preferably in hyper-growth and/or marketplace companies;
  • Proven ability to identify (lead generation) and acquire new affiliates and partners in an online environment (mail outreach, online meetings); - *this is a sales position:* strong ability to convince, persuade, negotiate and ultimately acquire partners is required.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow affiliate partnerships;
  • Proven experience in using affiliate tracking platforms (e.g.: Impact, Awin, PartnerStack) and partner outreach tools (e.g.: outreach.io or similar).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to establish long-term partnerships.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen with understanding of the affiliate marketing landscape and business models (e.g.: revenue share models) and marketing tech for both web and app (e.g.: sales attribution, tracking).
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making.
  • Strong appetite for AI and process automation.
