About the role
- Cloud Engineer developing modern network infrastructures in AWS Cloud with a focus on Infrastructure as Code. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance security and performance.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement and operate modern network infrastructures in the AWS Cloud — including Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform, Terragrunt and Git
- Develop and enhance automation and scripting solutions for efficient provisioning and management of network environments
- Configure, administer and harden network components, with particular focus on FortiOS, Palo Alto and Barracuda
- Ensure network security, high availability and performance in hybrid, complex cloud and on‑premises environments
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams and perform analysis and troubleshooting to continuously improve security, stability and performance
Requirements
- Degree in IT or comparable qualification (e.g., Fachinformatiker)
- Approximately 3 years of professional experience in a comparable role with a focus on cloud and network infrastructure
- Solid knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably with Terraform and Terragrunt
- Experience in automation and management of networks in cloud environments
- Hands‑on experience with firewall management and a strong understanding of network protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, routing)
- German language skills (minimum C1 level)
