About the role

Responsibilities
- Drive the continuous development and modernization of our high-performance backbone network
- Evaluate and purposefully introduce new technologies into our system landscape
- Manage Active Ethernet services up to the customer connection
- Design and develop business processes as well as technical automations
- Contribute your expertise to the further development of our IP Next-Generation Network
- Design technical solutions for bespoke, complex customer requirements
- Take responsibility for the support and maintenance of associated customer premises equipment (CPE)
Requirements
- Degree or completed vocational training in an IT-related field
- Several years of practical experience in network administration, especially in the WAN domain
- Confident handling of routing, protocols, analysis tools, and network technologies
- Experience operating MPLS networks and autonomous systems
- Ideally, experience with SIP platforms or WDM networks in a service-provider environment
- Structured and quality-conscious working style with a solution-oriented mindset
- Fluent German skills and good English skills
- Class B driving license
