About the role
- Senior IP Network Engineer enhancing IP-based MPLS/VXLAN Backbone for internal and external clients. Responsible for ensuring smooth operation and developing technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Part of the expert team responsible for further developing the MPLS/VXLAN backbone network
- Evaluate new technologies and integrate them into the system landscape
- Support Active Ethernet services up to the customer premises
- Contribute to shaping business processes and technical automation
- Support the further development of the IP Next Generation Network
- Design technical solutions for individual customer requirements
- Responsible for managing associated customer premises equipment (CPE) and participating in on-call duties
Requirements
- Completed degree or vocational training in an IT-related field
- Several years of practical experience in network administration, particularly in WAN
- Confident handling of routing, protocols, network analysis tools and networking technologies
- Knowledge in operating MPLS networks and autonomous systems (AS)
- Ideally additional experience with SIP platforms or WDM networks in a provider environment
- Structured, quality-focused working style with a solution-oriented mindset
- Fluent German and good English skills
- Valid Class B driver's license
