Responsibilities
- Build and evolve Android capabilities that power mobile analytics and experimentation across PayPal’s consumer experiences.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of complex features.
- Design scalable and reliable solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Android, backend, data, and product partners.
- Participate in architectural and design discussions.
- Communicate technical decisions and tradeoffs clearly.
- Uphold high standards for code quality, testing, and reliability while mentoring others.
Requirements
- 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin and Java
- Deep experience using the Android SDK, modern frameworks, and architectural patterns
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, clean coding standards, testing methodologies, and maintainable mobile architectures
- Proven experience delivering production-quality Android features in complex mobile applications
- Hands-on experience with performance optimization, debugging, profiling, and instrumentation
- Solid knowledge of mobile security best practices, including secure data handling, encryption, and network security
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
