Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine technical content for proposals, including project approach narratives, team qualifications, project descriptions, and resumes
  • Interview engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather technical information and translate it into clear, audience-appropriate content
  • Review and edit draft materials for clarity, technical accuracy, grammatical correctness, and consistency with company style and solicitation requirements
  • Collaborate with proposal coordinators, graphic designers, and pursuit teams to align written content with visual storytelling elements
  • Support development of storyboards, messaging strategies, and win themes for mid-sized pursuits
  • Contribute to ongoing maintenance and improvement of technical writing templates, style guides, and content libraries
  • Maintain strong awareness of procurement requirements, including federal, state, and municipal RFP processes and expectations
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, ensuring high-quality deliverables within deadlines

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience writing and editing proposals or technical documentation (AEC industry experience preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Communication, or Marketing preferred
  • Strong technical writing skills with a demonstrated ability to produce effective, reader-friendly content
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to consistency and quality
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and assignments
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Must be able to work Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, with occasional overtime as needed to meet deadlines
