About the role
- Learning Systems Administrator managing and optimizing the LMS for effective digital learning experiences across the organization. Supporting training delivery and data analytics within the L&D function.
Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and optimise the organisation’s Learning Management System (LMS)
- Support training delivery, learner engagement, compliance reporting, and training data analytics
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and system roles
- Upload, organise, and maintain all course and programme content
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and liaise with external LMS providers
- Generate dashboards and reports on course completions, learner engagement
- Implement new LMS features, plug-ins, and upgrades
- Provide technical guidance and training to LMS users
Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Information Systems, Educational Technology, HR Development, or a related field (minimum NQF Level 6)
- Additional certification in LMS platforms (Moodle, Oracle, Cornerstone, etc.) advantageous
- 3–5 years' experience in LMS administration or systems support within an L&D or HR environment
- Demonstrable experience in managing and optimising learning systems
- Background in compiling and reporting on training data analytics
- Solid understanding of LMS platforms and SCORM-compliant e-learning content
- Working knowledge of South African Skills Development legislation and SETA processes
- Competent in Excel (intermediate to advanced), and Power BI (advantageous)
- Familiarity with the digital learner journey and adult learning principles
- LMS administration and user support
- Data reporting and visualisation (Excel, Power BI)
- Content uploading, course configuration, and system troubleshooting
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and effective communication
