About the role

  • Lead Systems Administrator/Engineer for Mac Infrastructure at FINRA. Focusing on Apple device management, security compliance, and team leadership with expertise in JAMF Pro.

Responsibilities

  • Direct staff in the execution of enterprise Apple device management, security, and deployment activities
  • Ensure FINRA's Mac ecosystem meets defined quality standards
  • Focus on JAMF Pro administration, application packaging, and maintaining security compliance
  • Review and analyze complex macOS system specifications, JAMF policies, and MDM configurations
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, identify patterns, and generate insights
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Apple ecosystem management
  • Design, implement, customize, maintain, and administer complex macOS environments
  • Recommend and lead implementation of macOS updates, security patches, and hardware refresh cycles
  • Develop and maintain application packaging workflows for macOS software distribution
  • Lead security vulnerability remediation efforts for macOS devices
  • Implement and manage Single Sign-On (SSO) integration for macOS devices
  • Configure and maintain conditional access policies and device compliance requirements
  • Evaluate Apple ecosystem trends, JAMF updates, and emerging Mac management technologies
  • Document and communicate test results for JAMF deployments and security remediation activities
  • Mentor junior staff on Apple device management best practices
  • Participate in internal process improvement committees and Apple/JAMF user groups

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline
  • At least seven (7) years of related experience, or equivalent training and/or work experience
  • Past senior level systems administrator experience in a production data center environment
  • Knowledge of industry leading monitoring and diagnostic tools
  • Knowledge of at least one operating system and at least one contemporary scripting language
  • Knowledge of communication and network technologies
  • Exposure to common operational practices like metrics reporting, change management, incident management, problem management
  • ITIL & ISO:9000 framework experience/certification preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships that improved the quality of work products
  • Should be well organized, thorough, and able to handle competing priorities.
  • Ability to maintain focus and develop proficiency in new skills rapidly.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent planning skills.
  • Willingness to accept new challenges and grasp new or changing concepts, technologies and procedures.
