About the role

• Associate Architect leading the design and implementation of features for Onit's AI-centric legal tech platform. Enhancing development capabilities while mentoring junior developers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of new features and APIs as part of the OnitX AppBuilder Platform Development team.
• Enhance the engine that enables our Products team to build applications that we sell in the Legal Tech market.
• Lead the technical direction of both Front End and Back End development.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to more junior development and QA resources.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management and provide analysis on complexity and effort for new features and initiatives.
• Troubleshoot CI/CD issues and maintain an understanding of our deployment architecture.
• Work directly with the support team to troubleshoot and solve issues.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience using current language(s) for web development.
• Demonstrated leadership in projects preferably including examples in:
• Experience with front-end development and technologies including JavaScript and React is required.
• Dynamic languages such as Ruby on Rails.
• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of the SQL language and relational databases. Experience with PostgreSQL is a plus.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts. Experience with AWS, containerization and Kubernetes are highly desired.
• Demonstrated understanding of full cycle development leveraging Agile methodologies.
• Ability to work and develop in Mac/Linux environment.
